What causes condensation build up?

Condensation build up is caused by warm moisture filled air coming into contact with colder air or surfaces. As the water vapour cools it condenses back into water droplets that we often see on windows and external walls. This causes the conditions and environment for mould growth common around these areas.

The main reason for this build up is through poor condensation control. That is, controlling the humidity of the air in your property through adequate ventilation and insulation.
